I absolutely love Thanksgiving—it’s hands down one of my favorite holidays. The beauty of it lies in its simplicity: a day focused on family, friends, and gratitude, with no pressure to exchange presents. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy giving and receiving gifts as much as anyone, but there’s something so refreshing about gathering together and letting love be the only thing on the table (well, that and a delicious feast!).
Thanksgiving also feels like the “calm before the storm”—a peaceful pause to savor good food, relax, and recharge before diving headfirst into the whirlwind of holiday preparations--decorating, card addressing (yes, we still send out Christmas cards!), baking, shopping, and wrapping.
With Thanksgiving falling later this year, I’m making an extra effort to savor these next few weeks, soaking in the calm and peace before the busyness sets in.
I hope you, too, can take a few moments to relax and refresh during this final stretch before Thanksgiving. Let’s embrace the stillness so we can step into the festive season as our healthiest, happiest selves.
Warm Regards,
~Wendy
