Wendy Schicktanz is a fresh face in the world of children’s literature. After a twenty-year career as an award-winning Master Photographer, Wendy decided to fulfill her lifelong dream of writing a children’s book. As a devoted mother to two grown sons, and a proud grandma to two “little pumpkins,” Wendy draws inspiration for her work from her family.

When she’s not crafting stories, you’ll find her hiking, skiing, reading, traveling or adventuring with her loved ones in the great outdoors. She and her husband enjoy splitting their time between Arizona and Colorado. Ivy Blue’s Greatest Pumpkin Playhouse is her debut children’s book.
