I absolutely love the fall season! As I sat down to write this blog post, it dawned on me that nearly everything I relish about this time of year begins with the letter F. Here are some of my favorite F-themed highlights:
Family and Friends: While summer is often associated with family reunions and lively BBQs, I find that fall brings people back together in a unique way. With the start of school and the return to structured routines, families gather more frequently around the dinner table to share meals and discuss their day. Friendships rekindle as school resumes, and one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving, offers a perfect opportunity to celebrate with loved ones, reflect on what we’re thankful for and to enjoy the warmth of family and friends.
Foliage: For those who revel in nature’s beauty, fall is a feast for the eyes. Leaf peeping becomes a cherished activity as vibrant hues of purple, orange, red, and gold transform the landscape. Whether it’s a drive along picturesque mountain roads, a hike with crunching leaves beneath your feet, or a stroll through the neighborhood, the kaleidoscope of colors makes fall a spectacular season for nature enthusiasts.
Football: Fall is synonymous with football for many, including myself. Although I didn’t have the deep football knowledge of the young girl in Remember The Titans, I grew up immersed in the sport. My father was a high school football coach, so weekends were filled with cheering on his teams. As a high school cheerleader, football was my favorite sport to cheer for, and later, I supported my son’s football pursuits. Our dedication to football continues with our 30-year tradition of holding Bronco season tickets, celebrating the team’s triumphs and weathering its challenges.
Fruit: Fall is the season for an abundance of fruits, particularly apples. From apple-picking excursions at local orchards to enjoying Honeycrisp apples or indulging in caramel apple treats, apples are a quintessential fall delight. Pomegranates also make their seasonal appearance, offering a burst of juicy sweetness. And let’s not forget pumpkins! Technically a fruit, pumpkins feature prominently on porches throughout the neighborhood.
Fall is a season rich with traditions, activities, and flavors. It’s a time for reconnecting with family and friends, marveling at the changing foliage, enjoying the excitement of football, and savoring seasonal fruits.
I hope you are able to enjoy this truly special time of year, and experience firsthand the magic of fall.
Warm regards,
~Wendy
