Small Hands, Big Change: Earth Day for Kids

Each year on April 22nd, people around the world pause to honor Earth Day—a time to celebrate our planet and reflect on the ways we can care for it. For children, Earth Day is a wonderful opportunity to introduce the idea that even small hands can make a big difference.

By planting their own seeds, children can watch something grow and experience a hands-on-way to feel connected to the earth. In Ivy Blue’s Greatest Pumpkin Playhouse, Ivy Blue’s journey with Autumn shows how nurturing something as simple as a seed (or a pumpkin!) can lead to unexpected magic, thus inspiring families to talk about how nature thrives when we give it a little extra love and attention.

Children love feeling like heroes—and helping their local parks, trails, or neighborhoods sparkle can give them a sense of pride and ownership in the world around them.
